Welcome to the East Central Iowa Autism Society.
We are glad you found us.

Currently the rate of autism is 1 in 91. We hear the rates are going up each year. We hear that services are hard to secure, that dollars for research and funding is too short. We spend our days wondering about our childrens health, education and future. Each day we deal with the unanswered questions, the meltdowns, the lack of sleep, and the worry. To most Americans, 1 in 88 is a number. To the families of a child with autism, our 1 in 91 has a face and a name.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us this year at our 2012 autism walk!!

This is certainly our favorite day of the year, with friends old and new. Don't forget to check out team pics from Carl at www.visionsphotography.net

See you in 2013!

The Eastern Iowa Autism Society of America is a non-profit organization.
The ECI-ASA is committed to getting autism information into the hands of those who need it most. According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Education and other governmental agencies, autism is growing at a startling rate of 10-17 percent per year. At this rate, it is estimated that the prevalence of autism could reach 4 million Americans in the next decade. The goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
